To safeguard against unauthorized access to the investment accounts you have with us, you are required to 'log in' using an encrypted password, which is the most effective way to secure data. Accessing your MD accounts online uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and 128 bit encryption technology to enhance security when you log in. SSL is the industry standard tool for protecting and maintaining the security of message transmissions over the Internet. When you access your accounts or send information from secured sites, encryption will scramble your data into an unreadable format to inhibit unauthorized access by others.

Tips for password safety

  • Password must contain between 6 and 20 characters.
  • Password must contain at least 2 letters and at least 2 other characters (numbers or special characters).
